Debate on Human Rights awareness held at ZPHQ Srinagar | KNO

Srinagar, November 25 (KNO) : A Range level Human Rights Debate competition for creating awareness among police personnel was held at ZPHQ Kashmir Srinagar on the topic titled as “Respect for Human Rights is an obligation of every citizen irrespective of his caste, color and religion in the society”, today. The participants had earlier qualified the District Level Competitions. Inspector General of Police Shri Munir Ahmad Khan in his inaugural speech emphasized the need for creating awareness about fundamental rights in our day to day dealing as law enforcing agency. Deputy Director Prosecution ZPHQ Kashmir Shri Murtaza Nasir conducted the whole proceedings of the debate competition. The participants participated in the debate competition were judged by a Jury headed by Former Dean faculty of Law, Kashmir University Shri S.M Afzal Qadri, SSP PCR Kashmir Shri Shahid Mehraj and CPO J&K Human Rights Commission Shri Mumtaz Saleem. SI Masroor Ahmad from Handwara bagged the first position while PO Nadish Yoush from Srinagar and PO Amir Rahim From Kupwara bagged the second and third positions respectively. Lastly the vote of thanks was presented by the Deputy Director Prosecution ZPHQ Kashmir (KNO)
